The whole concept of optimum health through nutrition is so simple yet our minds have been trained to think it must be so complex... after all billions of dollars are spent each year on research... it surely must be a complex matter!

To start with you must come to these conclusions:

  1. Nutrition is the only substance that can bring health. You are what you eat.
  2. Anything else is only temporary at best and will often harm you.
  3. Adequate nutrition is not in our food anymore.(See the text box above)
  4. Most of the supplements you can buy are cheap forms that your body can't assimilate. If they worked people would not have diseases!
  5. And lastly, the most expensive (and foolish) way to apply nutritional principles is to use a way that doesn't work! You can't cut costs. If you have a disease your current nutritional plan isn't working and will cost you a great deal in the end! You need to provide your body with every nutrient it needs or you will get what a doctor calls
    a disease!

Your nutrition must be in a form that your body is able to use easily. Each and every one of your 76 trillion living cells needs to be nourished properly and receive oxygen or they will die. When your cells are dying, you are dying. When they die before they can replace themselves it is called a degenerative disease. Conversely, meet the needs of the cells and balance the internal environment and the body is able to repair itself whenever necessary!

And this may come as a surprise to you, but your nutrition should come from your food!

Foods, including meats, fruits and vegetables, are very complex substances and humans are not even close to knowing their total nutrient value. For example, there are more than 10,000 nutrients in a leaf of spinach and less than two hundred are known and categorized. In other words, more is unknown than known about what is beneficial to our health. There is no way that a scientist could develop a nutrient or a food in a laboratory that can compare to a leaf of spinach... or a peach or a grain of wheat.

What's more, food is balanced... or more precisely, it would be if it were grown on fertile soils that contained the soil nutrients they once contained. Those 10,000 nutrients are all necessary as they interact synergistically to nourish our bodies. Unfortunately they're not in our food anymore. So nutritional supplementation is necessary, but it should be the addition of foods that contain high amount of nutrients... not supplements that are synthetic or extracts of nutrients from a food source. For example, you wouldn't want to take vitamin E but would want to eat foods high in vitamin E because the co-factors contained in the food source would allow the vitamin E to have a more beneficial effect in your body.

The study of nutrition has seen many changes. At one time cheap, synthetic vitamins were thought to be adequate to supply our nutritional needs. However, science has discovered that those who take synthetic vitamins have a higher death risk than those who do nothing at all. Next there were natural vitamins and minerals. Then came chelated minerals, and then colloidal minerals.
Clearly it's not enough to take supplements, you must take them in a form that your body can use!
Each step was an improvement, as the particle size was smaller, and the ability of the body to use them greatly increased. But we now have reached the final frontier. Ionic minerals are as much as 10,000 times smaller in size than chelated or colloidal minerals. In fact they can't get any smaller and still be minerals. They are single atoms in size. This is the very best way to get nutrients into your body and the get the results you desire.

It's hard to even imagine things as small as atoms. To illustrate this, if an ionic mineral (composed of one atom) was the size of a BB, in comparison a chelated mineral (composed of 10,000 atoms) would be 148 feet across if the atoms were laid side by side! It would have to be broken down into single atoms before it could be used by the body. A lot of energy is required to do this, energy that could be better used elsewhere, especially to those who have disease conditions.

Just a few years ago chelated and colloidal minerals were regarded to be the best. And they were better than the forms that preceded them.

What really brings this concept home is... even if you use these improper forms of supplements, your body will convert some of them into ionic forms your body can use. So you can feel some difference. But that's not enough when you have a health problem. All your energy needs to go into healing, not into the breaking down of your nutrients.

Ionic mineral deficiencies may account for the majority (over 150) of degenerative diseases today. When you take those larger chelated or colloidal minerals, your digestive process has to break them down into ionic, or Angstrom (Å) sized, particles. This is a very inefficient, energy consuming process and most of the minerals will pass through the body unused... especially if one has a disease (because the digestive system is probably not working the way it should!) Also when the non-ionic minerals spend time in the stomach, they neutralize the acid used to digest food and it harms the digestive process. Thereafter you will not be able to digest foods properly, adding arterial-sclorotic plaque to your list of health problems.

Research has also shown the digestive systems of the diseased or aged works at only a fraction of the efficiency of the young and healthy. So if you can get minerals that are already ionic, they don't have to go through the digestive process, and they are already in the form that the cells are looking for. People get results with ionic minerals, even when they took the same minerals in a different form and got little or no results!

Longevity linked to mineral balance

What do you think the potential is for human life? If someone lives into their 90's, they are thought to have lived a long life. If someone reaches the age of 100, that is thought to be extraordinary. But when you look at it from a biological standpoint however, something is very wrong with those numbers.

When scientists look at the DNA of the cells, they see something very interesting. As our cells replicate (reproduce) themselves, parts of the ends of the DNA, called telomers, break off creating a situation whereby the cells get weaker and weaker as we age. Science has shown that the maximum age for a human being is approximately 120 years. Incidentally, this affirms what is written in the Bible; "The LORD said, 'My Spirit will not contend with man forever, his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.'"

Our diets cause the lifespan of the cell to be shortened. It is acids and free radicals that deteriorate our bodies and speed up the biological clock that determines how long we live. By supplying our bodies with the proper nutrients and stopping free radical damage as soon as possible, our lives progress at the rate that was intended for us.

According to the biologist's discoveries then, every day that you don't protect your DNA, you contribute to degeneration and earlier death. It's wise to start protecting your DNA as soon as you become aware of this because this deterioration is slowly taking place even from childhood. Pollution, poor food quality, stress, and other factors are shortening our years from what we were intended to live.

Think about this: If someone lives to the age of 60 and dies of heart disease, cancer, or any other degenerative disease... they really only lived half of a life. What they lived could have been doubled. It would be like starting all over again... another life of 60 years.

If someone dies at 80, they could have had 40 more years. I am now 48 years old. To me 40 years is a whole lifetime.An 80 year old could add what could be considered a whole lifetime to their years. 40 years is a lot of living, and learning, and serving.

When people say that they don't want to live that long, it's because most people that old have lost their memory and are feeble, and have no splendor left in their lives... and they don't want that to happen to them.

But it doesn't have to be that way. That's not normal! Start supplying your body now for what it needs ten years from now. If your body is starting to show some signs of deterioration, you especially need to do something! When you were young you had a resiliency, that is, your body would bounce back after an illness or an injury. We must not be deceived, as we age, and prematurely age, this no longer happens.

The body has a way of dealing with acids and free radicals, but it comes with a very high price. When your food intake does not provide the proper minerals, enzymes, and antioxidants for life, your body compensates by leaching minerals from your bones, essentially making your diet perfect. If so, you may be surprised that you are using supplements. You are supplementing your diet from your bones!

There's a catch. The minerals from your bones are supposed to stay in your bones and only be used in times of emergency, not on a daily basis. You may feel well now, but if you keep withdrawing from your bone bank you will eventually run out. Then you will "suddenly" get a degenerative disease.

The Power of Sango Coral Calcium

As a nutrition researcher my job is to study disease, nutrition, and human physiology to find out what works to bring health and then to explain the reasons why. One of the most exciting discoveries ever involves coral calcium from Okinawa, Japan.

Sango coral calcium is the only one of 2,500 species of coral that is known to have life giving benefits. After much study and exhaustive research I've come to the conclusion that there's not another substance on earth that can do so much to restore the mineral balance in our bodies. The natural chemical makeup is nearly identical to that of human bone! Okinawa is the only place on earth where this can be obtained. It is not taken from the reefs, and the harvesting process poses no threat to the living coral beds. So let's get that out of the way.

Sango coral has been traditionally used in bone grafts because it's nearly identical to human bone. Its elements are in the proportions that the body is used to using. When we consume Ionic Coral Calcium we are building up our supply of minerals, all in the right forms and proportions. There are over 70 different natural minerals present and each one has a specific role to allow the body to function properly and to balance the pH levels.

Acid/Alkaline (pH) balance

To understand health and your body's needs, you need to understand how the pH levels of your body's fluids plays a crucial role in maintaining homeostasis, or balance, throughout your body. This balance is needed to integrate all the separate functions of the many systems of the body, into one system able to function in a never ending cycle of anabolism and catabolism. That is, the cells in the body are constantly breaking down (catabolism), and constantly being rebuilt (anabolism). It is generally regarded that we will have a new body every 7 years as this cycle plays out.

When the cells are dying at a faster rate than they are being replaced, you have a degenerative disease. And you have the disease even if you're not showing symptoms. By the time you do, your disease has progressed to a dangerous level. If at that point you do nothing, you will have some very serious problems. You must find the way to stop the progression.

Maintaining the proper pH of your body's cellular fluids is the crucial first step so that catabolism does not proceed at a faster rate than anabolism. It is so critical to maintain the blood pH level precisely at 7.4 that your body will pull minerals from wherever it can to neutralize these acids. However, when it pulls the minerals out of the bones not all of the minerals can be used because they have not been ionized. They can accumulate and cause problems such as bone spurs, kidney or gall stones. These conditions are symptomatic of what doctors term a raging calcium deficiency.

Don't be misguided by blood analysis levels of minerals that show you have too much of a particular mineral. In most instances, when the blood level of a mineral is high there is a critical lack of usable amounts of that mineral in your blood while there are high amounts of unusable forms. There is abundant scientific evidence to support this, yet there are a few doctors who still think it is a sign of too much of the mineral.

Here's the Conclusion:You Don't Have to be Sick

Your body can heal itself from degeneration, just like the healing that takes place when you have a cut on your skin! If your body can create new skin or knit back together a bone that was broken, it can heal a degenerative disease .Proper nutrition gives your body that chance.

Now, you don't have to be a biologist to put this into practice, you simply need to put the right things into your body. But remember, supplements don't heal. There is no substance that heals. Both my wife and I have been studying herbal and natural medicine for a over 25 years and we have come to this conclusion: Whether it's an herb or a drug, it's still medicine and is used to correct a symptom of a disease.

Now I'm not against that in critical situations, and my conviction is that herbs are better than drugs, and sometimes even drugs are needed. But better than both is to supply your body with proper nutrition on a daily basis so you don't have health problems in the first place!

With what we now know today about nutrition and the healing power of the body--you don't have to be sick. But you do have to have wisdom to be not sick! You have to change something or you will remain in your condition. Mankind knows more than ever about health and it's available to just about everyone, but there are things and ideas that keep us confined to the disease process. Health starts with knowledge!  

It's always amazing to hear stories about those who "beat the odds" when they were confronted by terrible degenerative diseases? These people's courage gives hope to others facing the same situation. It's often called miraculous, and it truly is miraculous that the body can heal itself when you nourish it.
